When he was struck by an unexpected life-threatening illness, his efforts to find a way to save his life took him back to Africa, where he encountered the age-old rituals and powerful healing methods of African shamans. Radiate Peace with Lisa Samet

Tuesday Mar 30, 2021

Tuesday Mar 30, 2021

Lisa Samet, ND, is a well-known health practitioner who has appeared on the Dr Oz show to promote homoeopathy and naturopathic healing. She has an international practice based in Montreal, specializing in homoeopathy, emotional wellness, nutrition & lifestyle optimization. When emotional issues are an obstacle to healing, Dr Samet uses the Emotional Repatterning techniques presented in her book, Emotional Repatterning, to help patients uncover and rebalance the deep, subconscious beliefs that often underlie their unhappiness, "stuckness" and mental or physical pain. The results have been nothing short of life-changing! She has written this book to broaden access to the tools that she uses in her practice to help people change their perspectives, subconscious beliefs and ultimately suffer less. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by 10 years in marketing with Proctor & Gamble, Dr. Samet realized that her real love was naturopathic healing. She received her Doctorate from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1998 and has been in private practice since then. Naturopathic healing focuses on prevention and using natural approaches to stimulate the body's ability to heal itself. The primary goals of the naturopathic approach are to address the cause of illness rather than simply treat or suppress symptoms, and to treat the patient as a whole—physically, mentally and emotionally—to regain optimal health.  Dr Samet publishes a monthly newsletter with over 1,000 subscribers and is the featured author of "Dr Samet's Insights," a monthly blog on the Washington Homeopathic Products website, which receives approximately 60,000 visits per month. She's a lecturer and presenter of webinars on various topics, including Emotional Repatterning, homoeopathy, menopause, and the aging brain.  Find Dr. Samet online at http://www.lisasamet.com. Amanda Hindson has always been drawn to change and transformation and believes that life can be both incredibly beautiful and tremendously difficult. We live in the space of “already but not yet,” as we long for healing, wholeness, and restoration but find ourselves in broken places. Hindson knew since childhood that she wanted to focus on helping others, and after a decade of providing consulting and event management for leadership development companies, she decided it was time to follow her heart and become a therapist.  She truly believes that some of our greatest discoveries and healing are borne from a place of conflict or pain, and that some of our most profound strength and resilience come out of challenging seasons and relationships. No stranger to suffering herself, she finds it a privilege to journey alongside others who are seeking wholeness.     Amanda has been married for fourteen years and is a proud mother of two wonderfully wild little boys. She enjoys reading, cooking and eating delicious food, traveling, cultural exploration, playing outside, laughing, and generally enjoying the good things in life. She holds a BS in Psychology and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Learn more about KC Well Co, the therapy and counseling collective co-founded by Amanda and her husband and housed in the historic Luzier building in Kansas City, MO, at https://www.kcwellco.com/. Fred Matser is the founder & chairman of the Fred Foundation and a leading Dutch humanitarian. He has been active in social and ecological transformation and is the founder or co-founder of a wide range of charitable foundations that span the fields of health, environment, nature conservation, peace and global transformation. The principles underlying these foundations are based on inspiring co-creativity, self-sufficiency, empowerment, inspiration and harmony.  Matser’s book, Beyond Us, is a collection of essays that confront us with our dysfunctional yet unexamined ways of being and living in the early 21st century. It’s a companion piece to his film, Beyond Me, which can be streamed for free at https://www.beyondmedocumentary.org/en/watch-film-en/. This short and vigorous book consists of a penetrating collection of interrelated essays whose defining characteristic is that they pin down, magnify and mirror back to us, with embarrassing clarity and force, our most dysfunctional yet unexamined ways of thinking, living and relating to each other in the early 21st century. Our ills are diagnosed with x-ray vision and laser precision.  The book assesses our situation from a neutral vantage point outside the cultural echo chamber of values, opinions and beliefs in which most of us find ourselves immersed. In doing so, it reveals what most of us can't see. It confronts us with unpleasant truths about ourselves, the acknowledgement of which is imperative if we are to heal and improve our lives. The book also points to sane ways forward, and the appropriateness of these ways become self-evident once they are elucidated.  Purchase Beyond Us at https://www.johnhuntpublishing.com/iff-books/our-books/beyond-us .Follow Fred Master on Instagram @beyondmebeyondus , on Facebook  @beyondmebehondus , on Twitter  @FredMatser , and on YouTube at  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW5x3PVFJrk5bF4EBWqmwrQ .    For more information about Radiate Wellness, our practitioners, services, classes, and events, visit us at radiatewellnesscommunity.com, “Like” us on Facebook as Radiate Wellness, LLC; and follow us on Twitter @RadiateKC. Miriam Subirana is a Doctor in Fine Arts plus a Coach, Author, and Trainer in Appreciative Inquiry. She shares her profession as a painter and writer with being a teacher of meditation and positive thinking. She coordinates programs, projects, seminars and retreats whose objective is to re-find and live your own identity and enjoy a fuller life. Subirana has also directed the creation of two galleries of spiritual art in Mount Abu and Agra (India) and is the creator and director of the space YESOUISI, international centre of Art and Spirituality: www.yesouisi.es. Subirana is also the author of The Joy of Caring (O Books, a division of John Hunt Publishing). Caring is much more than attending to illness and pain. Caring is loving, appreciating, listening, accepting, feeling, being present, embracing, understanding, sharing, accompanying, healing, co-creating. Caring is giving out of joy. The Joy of Caring explores how we can make our relationships a genuine flow from me to you and between us, releasing masks, guilt and defensive attitudes that separate and exhaust us. It proposes practices that enable us to develop as creative, autonomous and emotionally mature people. To strengthen us and help us live in a more constructive and sociable way. To stop crushing ourselves and let go of the inner dialogue which is desperate and useless. With her concise and pleasant style, Miriam Subirana looks at the wisdom of caring, ranging from the wise masters of antiquity to our times. Splashing the text with didactic examples, The Joy of Caring accompanies us in all kinds of care: mind, body, heart and spirit; emphasizing the importance of compassion and a contemplative attitude, so that we can enjoy the potential we harbor. Wine has been an integral part of Christine Fitzgerald’s family history. Her grandfather worked for Gallo until the day he died. As a former gymnast and veteran nutritionist with 20 year’s experience, Christine was regularly asked by clients, “Why do I have to give up wine in order to lose weight?” The answer? Wine contains chemicals and sugar that ruin dietary goals. She knew that symptoms of bloat, weight gain, headaches, and feelings of sluggishness were the result. Eventually, she became dissatisfied with her “no pain no gain” approach to wine and its relationship to fitness and nutrition. She felt that her clients shouldn’t have to experience the guilt surrounding excess calories or the horrible "day after" symptoms that came along after enjoying wine the night before. There needed to be a healthy solution. She thought, "how could clients enjoy wine without it destroying all the hard work they put into a healthy and active lifestyle?" She dove into researching which wines fit her standards for a ‘healthy and clean wine’ and realized she needed to create her own because it just didn’t exist! Christine partnered with award-winning winemaker Steve Clifton to create Smartvine Wine in a rosé, white, and Malbec red. Together they dove into creating a wine that is certified 100% Glyphosate free (aka the pesticide RoundUp)—and it is the ONLY wine in the world to hold that distinction.
